This course covers the essentials of diagnostic ultrasound technology. It is intended primarily for clinicians (both medical practitioners and allied health) doing point of care ultrasound.
It is accredited by the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM) for the Certificate in Clinician Performed Ultrasound (CCPU) and the Certificate in Allied Health Performed Ultrasound (CAHPU) and as a bridging course for DMU and DDU candidates.
It has also been adopted by several universities and other tertiary institutions as an introduction to ultrasound physics for practitioners who are undertaking more comprehensive training.
The course contains 10 presentations, each of which should take a minimum of 30 minutes to complete. A short quiz follows each presentation and there is a comprehensive final quiz.
Following successful completion you will receive a formal certificate of achievement.
